Privacy Policy

Gani Logistic (“Gani Logistic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates GaniOS, including the Gani Logistic mobile app, the driver web app, the Dispatcher Portal, and related web services. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how we protect it, and how an account holder can request deletion.

Information we collect

  • Account information: email address, name, phone number, language, role, and account status.
  • Work and load information: pickup and delivery details, stops, load status, mileage, rates, statements, and related operational records.
  • Documents and photos: rate confirmations, bills of lading, proof of delivery, and fuel receipts uploaded by an authorized user. An odometer photo may be sent to our document-processing provider to read the mileage and is not retained as a stored document.
  • Location information: a driver’s location, when the driver grants permission. The app takes one position when the driver opens it, and one when the driver asks the in-app assistant a question. While a driver has a load under way, the iPhone app also sends the truck’s position every few minutes, including when the app is closed (the device shows its location indicator); it stops when the load is delivered or cancelled, and nothing is sent while the driver has no load. We keep the positions sent during a load as that load’s trip record and the most recent position with its time. Company administrators can see the last position and the trip of a load in progress on an internal fleet map, which is displayed using Apple Maps. A dispatcher who sent a load through the Dispatcher Portal can see, on a map of that load only and only while it is under way, the truck's last position, the nearest town and the way it went on that load; once the load is delivered or cancelled the position is no longer shown to the dispatcher.
  • Assistant conversations: questions typed to the in-app assistants (the administrators' assistant and the driver assistant) and their answers. Conversation history is kept on the user's own device; the server keeps only usage counts, not the text.
  • Device and notification information: device or browser identifiers needed to deliver notifications and maintain a secure session.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate authorized users, assign and manage loads, process delivery and fuel paperwork, calculate statements, send operational notifications, provide support, protect the service, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information and do not use GaniOS for advertising profiles.

Service providers

We use service providers that process information on our behalf, including Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage; Render for application hosting; Google Gemini, on Google’s paid API service, which does not use our content to improve Google’s products, for selected document-image extraction workflows; Anthropic (Claude), on Anthropic’s commercial API, which does not use our content to train its models, to answer questions asked in the in-app assistants - it receives the question and the work information needed to answer it (for a driver, only that driver’s own records), and for roadside help it may run a web search for nearby truck services using the driver’s approximate location; Apple Weather (WeatherKit), which receives the coordinates of a driver’s last reported position and of load stops to provide forecasts and official weather warnings; Resend for transactional email; Apple Maps for the internal fleet map and the dispatcher's load map; OpenRouteService, which receives only load stop addresses (no names, rates or phone numbers) to estimate the truck-route miles of a partial load and to find a stop’s coordinates for its weather, and a driver’s coordinates to name the nearest place when they ask for roadside help and to name the town nearest a truck on a dispatcher's load map; browser push providers for web notifications; and Apple notification services when native push notifications are enabled. Providers receive only the information needed for the service they provide, and each is required to provide the same or equal protection of that information as described in this policy.

Photos, documents, and location

Camera and photo access is requested only when a user chooses to capture or upload a work document. Location access is requested for operational location reporting (including the truck’s position while a load is under way), local weather and roadside help, and is optional; denying it does not prevent completing load steps. You can turn off location, camera, photo, and notification access at any time in your device’s Settings.

Retention and deletion

When a user deletes their account, we permanently close the login and delete the personal information we are not required to keep: the email address, phone number, license number and dates, medical card date, last location, sign-up request, and notification registrations. The name on the account stays on the business records it appears on, because Gani Logistic must keep those records: loads, bills of lading and proof of delivery, fuel records, pay statements, and driver qualification documents. We keep business records for at least 4 years, or longer where the law requires, for tax, fuel-tax, safety, and employment recordkeeping; the system does not automatically delete them after that period.

Users can delete their account from Account settings in the Gani Logistic mobile app. Web users may contact info@ganilogistic.com. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.

Security

We use authenticated sessions, role-based access controls, database policies, private file storage, and server-side authorization checks. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their credentials and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

Children

GaniOS is a business operations service and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The effective date at the bottom of this page will be updated when a revised version is published.
